Coffee Shop
One of my hidden desires is to operate a coffee shop of my own someday, nothing fancy and expensive like Starbucks but something of that nature but more personalized where small time bloggers/students like me can have a place to chill out. Everytime am in Starbucks I always happen to check out their display of coffee makers and blenders, same thing if am online and I ran out of things to browse I check for coffee makers and check on their prices and brands. Just lately I’ve ran into a brand from Switzerland called Jura Capresso, there line of automatic coffee espresso has earned them top honors in the coffee community worldwide. The price starts at a whooping $899 and goes higher depending on the model. *sigh* I guess this isn’t intended for small time peeps like me.
I Lost It
I lost my coin purse. Yep thats right Ijust freakin lost it!!! I dunno where I misplaced it could be in the ladies room or in the locker room all I know is I lost it and that includes a couple of bills, coins and my keys. *sigh* I’ve been pretty reckless lately but I never ever thought a day would come that I’d lose my purse. Oh well .. whats done is done. Better be extra careful next time.
Debt Free?
Debt debt debt .. who doesn’t have them? I guess even the president has her own debts lol, the country has debts and I doubt if this nation we’ll ever be debt free but my point is I guess these things are normal and that so long as you know you can manage them then you’re fine. Right? Mom used to say that everytime a person earns bigger that’d mean he’s expenses would grow too. Used to say that will not happen to me … she just smiled. The wisdom of the old. We’ll now that am older and am earning on my own I’ve come to understand why she said that, true am earning quite higher than the minimum wage and I tend to spend a lot too. Not beyond border but close to it, used to be I almost always eat at home or I eat in karenderias .. now with the influence of colleagues I’ve grown fascinated with fast foods and fine dining. Not that we do it very often but still its something new, its something I was not doing before. Once of the things am afraid of though and paranoid as they may sound is that am scared of having to consult experts regarding debt consolidation because my debts have grown unmanageable. Or am afraid of having to surrender my payroll atm card to one of those debt companies because I was not able to make both ends meet and is forced to borrow money from these firms. Heaven forbid so long as I have my finances in check then I should be fine.
Propose
When Aidan asked for Carrie’s hand in marriage it was with the help of Samantha that he gave her this ring. The first one selected by Miranda was not really much of her and when she mentioned to the girls the ring she’s found out in Aidan’s gym bag and how it was no so like her. Miranda spilled out that it was her choice. Hahaha … I guess girlfriends are really helpful in things like this, they’re usually the ones who’d give the other party the hint as to what to get such as what type of flowers or what ring to choose from the engagement rings to select from. But that marriage didn’t push through but just the same the ring was well worth it.
Pending
Me and my restless feet is on the lose again. If all goes well I’ll be spending the latter part of November and the first week of December somewhere. The sad thing is all of the unpaid vacation leaves I filed for are all “pending” … seems like my capacity to go travel anywhere in and out of the country raised a few eyebrows. lol … even heard someone asked, “why does she keeps on traveling?, what’s wrong with her?” lol … is that what I think it is? A bout of insecurity? hahaha … oh well … and she used to be part of those people I always bring presents for. Guess she’s eliminated from the list. Hate it when people just can’t let me if she wanted to go on vacation leave then why don’t she file one herself … duh!!!
Cut Into Two
A colleague of mine literally cut her credit card into two she said she’s paying the monthly bill and she ut the card so she wont have anything to use and so that she won’t be tempted to use it. Her bill has accumulated over the past 5 years and she’s paying the interest on top of the capital and when I heard the amount, I was worried shitless. A hundred thousand tops and she’s paying like five thousand every month and am not sure if its diminishing the outstanding balance greatly. She doesn’t seem to be that worried but I worry for her, my outstanding balance is not even 1/8 of what she owes the credit company. Right now one of the things her sister, who is based in the US suggest she do is check for companies that would offer free credit report so she can track down her expenses, run comparisons, and make action plans to minimize her expenses. Accdg. to her sister in the States it is important that one’s credit score is of good standing otherwise you’d have difficulty acquiring things and the likes. So up there, there are various finanial companies offering services like credit check, debt management and sometimes they would give tips and suggestions on how to improve credit for the betterment of your credit/financial standing.
Area Code Look Up
The web has been very helpful to people form various walks of life, from students who couldnt seem to locate a piece of info need to complete a paper or to travelers who cant seem to locate a certain hotel. Its all online … same thing with area codes for phone numbers in all the states. Should you ever need to search area codes of various locations then you shouldnt be having any problems so long as your connected online. 
In Preparation for the TB
Our team building is fast approaching and am very excited, we’re headed to Camotes this time and it’d be a first for me. Just like those other team buildings we’ve had its always cowboy style, my boss is a good cook and he always made sure that the food is ready and going look before all the agents are awake. Last time we went out of town, I noticed that we kinda missed on certain utensils, spoon and fork were available but things like a can opener, a pair of scissors and a knife were forgotten. So now am thinking since its still a month away, am planning to get myself a foldable companion knife … its a compact 2-bladed traditional pocket knife with nickelsilver bolsters and its very handy.
Yipee!!
Just got back home from school, I can’t believe how energized I feel despite having been awake for more than 24 hours. Was working on two papers due today last night amidst chatting with people at work. Not even a snooze for a couple of minutes but at least am done … submitted both papers earlier, got my clearance and finals permit signed by my professors and am off.
Looking forward to enjoying a week or so before the start of the second semester.
Looking Forward To
With the upcoming Davao escapade with Bena and Kathy, am looking forward to purchasing a new digicam, what I currently have is a bit damaged. The photos taken are a bit blurry and pixilated they don’t really look that good. In conjunction with buying this new camera am also planning on buying a micro sd to hold all the photos, since we’ve heard a lot of good things about Davao I sure wanna capture the beauty of the place as part of my mementos.
PS3 for Xmas
Was contemplating of getting this PS3 for Christmas but am torn between this one and a pink psp. Any suggestions pls? lol … might as well put into consideration the price difference, might as well consult gamers who know better about the advantages and disadvantages of both products before I go ahead and spend my hard earned monies. Knowing how fickle-minded I am, I’d better be careful on choosing otherwise I’d end up selling it in less than a month’s time.
A Birthday Wishlist
In a month’s time I’ll be turning 23, seems not so long ago when Mik, A, Aisat, Bukie and I celebrated mine and Mik’s bday at A’s bhouse … on the rooftop nonetheless overlooking the entire city. We had fun and now am looking forward to doing that again with these beautiful people. Just like every birthday celebrant I do have my own wishlist … so guys … if you’re planning to get me something … weeeeee … here’s my list in a random order:

Comfy
Was in Ayala yesterday when I saw this home theater seating that made my mouth water, it looks really comfortable and it made my mind wander and daydream of a nice house of my own and my very own wide screen tv. Now isn’t that fantastic? Oh well all I can do is dream for now …

One of the things I dreaded when I flew to Bangkok was the cancellation of our direct flights from Cebu to Bangkok. For some reason our airline of choice canceled all direct flights and we have to pass by Manila. I guess changes like this are inevitable and though its a hassle to passengers like me but what can I do? Nothing but just succumb to it as if I have any say on the matter.
If things like this happen to flights within Asia how much more for those interconnecting flights, cross continental. In one of the spam emails I received from work I remembered seeing loads of photos of the worlds huge and busiest airports and I remembered seeing JFK on it. Can’t believe how huge the airport is and the number of flights it caters both domestic and international flights.
Brad mentioned once that it’s easy to get lost around JFK on your way to the next terminal for your connecting flight. Now isn’t that scary? Good thing though he said is that there are companies that offer services such as Shuttle to JFK. One of them is called Newark Airport Shuttle , they offer safe ground transportation throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs. Good thing about them aside from their modern vans and online 24×7 reservation is that they offer customer service assistance in every terminal at JFK, LGA and EWR. So the lurking idea of getting lost is far from happening. Now if you’re headed that way … better check with them online, set up your reservations to assure a safe and comfy transition between your flights.

A breakup is stressful by itself but moving out of the apartment you’re both sharing is the hardest. Segregating through which items are yours and which are his could take forever, looking for a place to move is dragging and moving out finally is heart breaking. The Man
Do these men look familiar to you? Well the one on the left is Nouveau Riche CEO Jim Piccolo and right beside him is Muhammad Ali. Wonder why they’re seen together in a picture? I mean what could they possibly have in common? This pic was taken on one of the charity events they’re both in. Jim Piccolo is the man behind Nouveau Riche which offers others the opportunity to create wealth through its unique real estate investment curriculum as well as its generous marketing approach. He said with wealth comes responsibility and people who come to wealth in a blink of an eye are usually the ones who’d fall under grace because they let wealth rule them, not balancing wealth with the given responsibility.
Jim Piccolo has always been known for being that visionary when it comes to business and whats new in the market way before others recognize its potential. He acts on them quickly creating thriving businesses; with the money he has acquired he gives it back to the community by supporting multiple charitable foundations for the young and old alike. To name a few he’s supporting: The Rock, Judi’s House, Starlight Foundation, Help4Kidz, Help4Teenz and he also founded the The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation in honor of his father who passed away after a battle with cancer.
Pink Digicam
The upcoming trip to Davao has somewhat pressured me to get a new digital camera for my own seeing that the amiable Eds won’t be with us to take care of the photo shoots. *sigh* Cindy mentioned earlier that while she was browing Amazon yesterday she ran into various digital cameras one of which caught her eye because it comes in a set and its in pink, the set includes a mini pink photo printer and a pink digicam … aint that candylicious? lol
Injury
Ran into a site that offers a variety of legal services some of which I’ve heard but it is not thoroughly familiar with. In this type of work were in where our worlds are turned upside down, health issues arise every so often that at times we wonder if the job and the pay are well worth it. Going back on this site I mentioned, they’re based in the UK and they offer a lot of legal services, one of which is called the personal injury claim. Didn’t know such a thing exist and when I read further I found out that those accidents that happen to victims in the road is an example of a case where the victim can file for a claim. Those hit and run scenarios wherein the culprit would escape his responsibility leaving the victim helpless and frustrated, these victims should consult this company for possible law action. What’s good about them is that they wont collect any professional fee whatsoever not until the case is filed and won over. Isn’t that reassuring?
Construction workers who encounter health hazards at work or worst encounter accidents at work and are not duly compensated should venture out their options and claim whats duly there’s. They also help victims on bicycle accident claims, I think this is suited for those teenagers who ran into accidents on the road while on their bicycles and they also have what they call whiplash injury claims. So have you been in an accident in the past year or so and was never compensated properly? If yes then go make a move … its never too late to claim what is rightfully yours.
Debt Solutions
I’ve known of quite a number of people who are struggling between debts. It sometimes puzzle how they manage to juggle from one loan to the other, take for instance I know of a friend who’s payroll goes directly to his credit card bills plus the loans on the side. Sometimes I wonder how he gets by but I think its goes to down to how you manage to make do with whats left after all the deductions. Run across a site during the course of my wandering in the web of a debt consolidation loans site which also offers medical bill consolidation and other debt solutions … its a first for me to hear such a term and was a bit intrigued by what it means. Based on what I’ve read its intended for credit cards, medical bills and collection accounts. This is targeted to users or consumers who are having difficulty meeting monthly payment requirements or are un-able to reduce their balances should apply. Should he apply for this type of program? Maybe its worth mentioning … but wouldn’t it hurt his ego?
I find it awkward discussing other people’s finances but he’s a close friend of mine and though I cannot help him pay off his debts but at least in a way I’d be able to help him find ways on eliminating them one by one. Now am wondering if plans like this or services like this exist in the country, there’s even a government debt consolidation program that of which am not acquainted with the details but just the same its targeted to those who need help with their finances. Or maybe I can ask him to attend credit counseling before he starts getting another loan. Whew!!! Seems like he’s style is to get another loan to pay his existing loan, which I find strange … don’t understand it really.
Money
Isn’t it inspiring when someone you know as part of a lower socioeconomic class crosses over to the world of wealth and class all of a sudden with the little stroke of luck and hard work? It is something that I ultimately want to be a part of. Successful stories like this happen more commonly than we realize it. Nouveau Riche, as these people are called exist everywhere and as a matter of fact I personally know some individuals who make good examples. It’s not always easy to tell who will make it or not in this society but self-made individuals certainly make everything look possible.
Looking back in history and the abundant list of Nouveau Riche community, we can see a common denominator in all of them. They are all hard-working, ambitious and serious about what they do. They usually reached their status in venturing to the business world and their risks have most definitely paid off big time.
Nouveau Riche University where participants will be provided with comprehensive training to pave the way for the self-made billionaires. Now is a good time as any to be successful.
