Passed by a furniture house yesterday on my way home and was enamored by the multitude of rugs available. Most of them are pretty colorful while other have this very intricate designs. Cheap rugs are available online most of which have this classy oriental design, there are also area rugs in pink which are very tempting to buy. They’re s’pose to add color and beauty to the area where they are placed. What amazes me though is the fact that creating these rugs not only require skill but also an appreciation of beauty and color symmetry. I mean how can they put up those patterns if don’t have an inkling of beauty and color combination?

I’ve been riding on Doi’s vehicle for quite sometime and she has told me just recently that she’ll have some repairs done to it. One of them would be changing the a/c compressor because apparently this has been damaged for quite sometime. Am not familiar with the parts and the maintenance needed for a vehicle as I don’t own one to begin with but from the looks of it that’d involves loads of cash.

I saw this during one of my window shopping escapades, and though am not one who’s into furnitures but this caught my eye. It some entices me when the thought of comfort and total relaxation. It seemed like an ordinary sofa to me but when I saw something like it online or I least I think they’re similar I found out that they’re more or less intended for those who are well over 65 years old. Thats the target age they have and guess what, its not just a regular sofa but its called a lift chair. Which according to the site is a type of recliner that is used by people who have difficulty standing and sitting on their own.

Now I know why its intended for the aged but damn, it looks so comfy I was at first tempted to buy one. Hehehe if mom was around this would have been beneficial. But just the same the chair looks real nice and comfy … it could even pass as a regular sofa so one can just buy it for regular use. Seems like it’d serve two purposes if you have someone who needs a lift evey now and then.

Eds, Doi and Moi seem to have one thing in common. LOVE for GOOD FOOD. Hehehe the three of us have spent an ample time together, what with making Doi’s business go online. So after the pictorial session of her items we almost always end up eating somewhere.

During the teenage years one of the many problems a friend of mine had to go through was acne, ’twas rampant on her face that she got teased about it all throughout highschool. One of the signs of puberty but it was frustrating for her and embarassing at the same time. By the time we reached college it somehow diminished but remnants of it were still visible on her face. When we met a couple of months back they have somehow left her face miraculously and I had to ask her. She said she’s gone through evey dermatologist recommended by friends and colleagues, has tried every possible acne treatment cream in the market until she found one that worked on her.

Redesigning, redefining Mga Laagan. Things are no longer the way they used to. Changes which are inevitable have come and this blog is no longer the blog I first envisioned it to be.

On HIATUS to re evaluate, redefine and redesign and lets just say I need the much needed time to CONTEMPLATE.

So Jenny is our next door neighbor and a favorite of mom and I is now in second grade. Am able to make follow ups on her studies every week like I intended to do so but I still try to every now and then especially when the three of together with her mom go to visit my mom in her resting place. Thinking about her reminds me every time of all those children’s books I see in the bookstore. I’ve been meaning to get her one but am not sure which one to get her. I mean is she too old for the Frog Prince and the like? What about Cinderella and Snow White? Maybe not but the next time I drop by the bookshop I’d grab one for her.

Reminds me of those times when mom would buy one for me every now and then and we’d practice reading on them when we get home.

I have this huge affinity for crisp bills and the 10 peso coin that it came to a point I’d change my bill for 10 peso coins at the pantry. Some of my friends find it amusing that am collecting this coins and the crisp bills when in turn they only end up being deposited in my savings accounts, roughly divided into two as I have two accounts. Hehehe Its been a habit since last year and up till now am still collecting and saving, I guess that’s good in a way cause I get to save.

The team lead appreciation day is almost coming … I receive an email last night from Jonp asking for ideas on what to place on the collage she was given by HR … this brought back memories when Cuddly Bear was still my team lead and Wafa and I had to rush back and forth from Colon to Uptown to work on this and that. This time I told Jon that what I have in mind are trophies, just a quick small one with some words on it that the team members would come up. Dunno if she’ll like it but well there goes my suggestion.

We all go through an acne episode once in our life, twice if we’re unlucky and with that people are always in constant search for the best acne treatment they can afford. One of the many insects am scared off are the spiders. I dunno why but I find them eerie that I quiver when I see one, ran across a site that offers spider traps and am tempted to order one. Now the question is to they ship outside of the US and if yes how much would that be .. maybe I should go ahead and shoot them an email to find out.

Am thinking of getting another notebook computer, that’d be my second as I already have a macbook but am planning of getting a windows-based one for my photo editing and website editing activities. The applications am used to using doesnt seem to work with my macbook. Huhuhu but its okay I love my macbook just the same.

Halloween is celebrated in the States and I envy them, the trick or treat and the halloween costumes some of them cute like the angels and the fairies costumes some of them scary like those vampire and witch costumes and some like to strut along sexy halloween costumes during parties as they are pretty rampant. Am not sure on the Halloween costume history or on the tradition itself why its being celebrated there and why its not being done here in the Philippines.

I kinda liked the idea of going trick or treat but at this age I think am too old but the parties and the costumes would still be nice to participate in or even the preparation of candies for those kids as they go trick or treat is nice too.

Maybe someday if I get to go to the States I’ll experience that amongst many others.
