The nature of our work makes us more prone to wearing glasses. When I started getting headaches and my sight started to blur I went to see my doctor right away. I didn’t choose to be scheduled under flex meaning that the days off are different every week. My sched has always been core meaning that I get the same off every week and that’s how I want it to stay. Am one of those people who doesn’t like wearing a watch, its not that I don’t mind the time coz I do but I usually check the time on my cellphone. But when I came across these luxury watches, whew! it made me want one. Heck looking at all three I can’t even make up my mind on which one to select. Hehehe wishful thinking as if I can afford one. I have heard people say that things come in 3′s, either good or bad. I have not thought of it for a very long time but the death of 2 of Hollywood personalities in the same month is making me superstitious. Brad Renfro, (25) who you would remember as Huck Finn in the movie Tom and Huck; died last January 15, 08 for causes that have not been clearly explained. Then there was the death of Heath Ledger, (28) who passed away last January 22, 08. That’s strike 2 in only a month. Will there be another one before February starts? Or is it before the year ends? Oh God forbid we lose another extraordinary talent 
My old man and my younger brother have not always seen eye to eye. Maybe it’s because my brother is in his teen years and we all know that’s a difficult stage. This is the age when we get rebellious and do the exact opposite of what our parents tell us, for the purpose of riling them. However, if you put those two together inside a billiard hall, you won’t see a father and son but two buddies of the same age instead. I have seen how they bonded and how close they have gotten because of their mutual love for the game. They go to billiard tournaments together and when my brother won his first championship at the district playoffs; my dad’s face shone with so much pride and joy as if he won the match himself. Those were really good times.
When I get homesick and I miss them, I play the online pool. I’m not very good at the actual game but I can give anyone a run for their money with the online version. As a matter of fact, I have beaten my brother twice already.
I’m sure you all remember how cute Joshua Jackson was as a kid when he played one of the characters in the “Mighty Ducks” movie. If you have not seen this classic. I’m sure you will at least think that the title sounds familiar. It’s one of those inspiring movies that show how the right reasons, faith, teamwork, love, etc..can make dreams come true. There’s this line that I really like and I’ll share a snippet.

I remember when I got into a cash emergency and what it felt like. A friend consoled me and said that everyone gets to face their zero hour at some point in their lives. A bit of a change … *sigh*, me and wafa are having totally separate interests now, that seeing us together is basically a thing of the past. Our working schedule are just so opposite its like the north and the south pole, am busy with school, she’s busy with work, dada and her own blog. Am glad that finally she can now relate to the whole blogging madness and is now able to understand those sleepless nights that I had and still have. What scares me though is that both of us now have our own lil corner in cyberspace that this blog would go down the drain. When we started this out we were under the impression that both of us will write about our escapades, when both of us were single, free and uncomplicated. I never thought things would change and that’s silly of me, am not blaming anything about the change its just that it scares me and it saddens me knowing things will never be like the way it was before, not even close.
I rant and I rave but I do it on my own lil pink corner, why? Because just as I’ve thought this space here was s’pose to be all about our “laags” together … therefore the domain name mgalaagan.com …. The many plans that we’ve had, the many places we intend to go were all like a dream, somehow looking at old photos made me ask if all of them were for real.
School has taken my time, its my passion to learn though it’s tedious at times, but I love it. Pretty much you can say am preoccupied, *sigh* … am scared of what might become of this space here when both of us are following totally separate paths.
Valentines day is just around the corner and I already have something special planned for my guy. It’s going to be the first of our many Valentines together as a couple so I’m going to make it extra special for both of us. I’m thinking scented candles, our music softly playing on the background and that fine lingerie that I have been eyeing just for the occassion. That should be enough to fill up his senses.

In the neighborhood where my friend Josh grew up he said drugs, weeds and whatever you call it is rampant … even before he started high school he already smoked by the time he finished high school he was what people call a drug addict. From syrups, marijuanas and cocaine … you name it he’s tried it … the sad thing about it is he knew what’s wrong with him but he can’t seem to stop. No, in his own words, he doesn’t have the strength to stop … he cannot deny the strong craving … so day in day out he did everything he can … stealing … robbery … everything just so he can buy whatever he needs to buy to satisfy his craving. He has grown thin, was never able to enroll for college, sunken eyes and cheeks. No longer the cute guy next door, but all that changed after 4 years of misery … at the age of 23 he was admitted for drug treatment somewhere in Malibu. He’s aunt said a therapist suggested they visit http://www.4rehabilitation.com and there they got the information they need for Josh and his treatment. The location, our support, he’s will to overcome it … made the treatment smooth sailing.
Now we have a totally reformed Josh, healthier than he was 4 years ago, happier than he ever was. He’s gone back to painting and arts … and to writing too, the staff at the local drug rehab center has been very understanding and kind … making the place an easy environment for him. Can’t wait to see him when he’s treatment’s done … after all the pain he has gone through its high time for him to be with us … the people who cared and loved him the most.

I lost my credit card!!!! Was in Starbucks Ayala earlier then was looking for a new phone (the one I bought last friday I sold to Ching, don’t like it anymore), now when my feet grew tired with all the walking and my arms numb with the paper bag am bringing, I went to Citibank to pay (Mitchy commented once why I pay them more than twice in a month) ’twas then I realized that I don’t have my card with me, I have my wallet which contains my money but I lost my card holder. Good thing I had my atm card for my pay and my two savings atm card in another wallet I left at home. So it’s my credit card, and my two debit cards. Grrrr … in the States they have this product called Walletlock from Lifelock wherein clients who are suffering from lost or stolen wallets can just make one single phone call to a Lifelock specialist who would do all the phone calls in having all the cards and other documents canceled and replaced. Ain’t that nice? With my case I had to call three banks, repeat the details three times which was draining and I dunno time consuming. So now I have to wait 7 to 10 working days for them to deliver my new cards. Comparing the LifeLock promotion codes, they seem to be running a variety of subscription, dunno if such a company exist in my location and I don’t think they are running this service worldwide. It’d be added security I think and a hassle saver. *sigh* We ought to have Lifelock Promo Codes available here in our country and offers ought to be sent via email.

Bought a new phone just today or like just 30 minutes ago to be exact. I sold my walkman phone to bukie then I purchased a china phone the ones that are like PDA’s, touch screen and which has television on them, after two days of using it I realized I didnt like it so I sold it to Ching Ching, now I bought another walkman phone (and God forbid … but I hope I wont lose interest in this in a span of a week!!!) Its black, boulevard black to be exact, just as my other walkman phone is black.
Black is beautiful and EMO, nyahahaha kinda represents how dark my soul is.

I still can’t help but be awed at how guys in general know vehicles like girls know shoes. I am yet to meet a woman who knows at least half of the facts about cars, autos and trucks as boys do. Just yesterday on our way to work, my female colleague and I were admiring how sleek looking the parked cars were and we got lost with the names.
I saw our old neighbor this morning going up some plight of stairs at such a slow pace and with so much difficulty that it broke my heart. It instantly made me wish she had a stair lift to make her life more convenient. With it she can comfortably climb up their second floor or any floor for that matter with no trouble and I don’t have to feel so bad again when I see her do it.
One day Satan and Jesus were having a
conversation.
Satan had just departed
from the Garden of Eden, and he was
gloating and boasting.
