A Reminder
Hemorrhoid, came across this word when I was checking my bulk folder, one of the emails was a medicine for hemorrhoid. Got curious and searched for the term online. Hemorrhoids are varicosities or swelling and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. Caused by straining during bowel movement, hypertension, obesity, excessive consumption of alcohol or caffeine, heart disorders, pveruse of laxatives, age, and so much more.
It has two types: internal and external; external hemorrhoids is characterized by itching, burning, and irritation while internal hemorrhoids is characterized by rectal bleeding and pain. it reminded me of my mentor during my practice teaching. She said she had problems with her rectum, especially during bowel movement, traces of blood are visible on the tissue paper and its painful for her to thoroughly cleanse that area.
At one point she even bled during bowel movement, she did mention some sort of medication and medical terms I never fully understood but I think from reading what I can gather online that this is what she’s suffering from. hemorrhoids, her children in the US take turns to send her meds … almost all of them are not available here.
If I see her again, she has long since retired from teaching, I’d recommend this site to her so she can have her children check them out on possible alternatives to her condition.
