What Was S’pose To Be My Rest Day

So Friday was the last day of our work and Kitoy and I were merry, like lil kids on the way to a carnival (lol!) Its been a long week so yeah we were excited at the thought of a long weekend. Our sched has changed and he comes in at 12 AM while I come in at 12:30 AM on Tuesday.

 We’re s’pose to go to the office Friday night and finish something, someone sent through email but that didnt materialize. We agreed to go do it Saturday night then.

Sat. Afternoon, I find myself in SM looking at art pieces with exorbitant prices while waiting for D. We’re gonna look for glasses, am back to wearing glasses after 5 years of not wearing one. This freaking headache accdg. to the quack is caused by the nature of my work, and of the fact that I spent abnormal hours in front of the pc. (that’s definitely better, than getting wasted!).

I told Lex, am gonna wear glasses and she said, what kind of glasses are you gonna get bro? emo glasses, intellectual glasses, fashion glasses or what? I was like, uhhhmmm…. didnt know spectacles has classifications. Heheeheh we’ll I got a black framed plastic glasses. It has the sticker “Disney” on the lens, D asked if its gonna be there when its done … coz it didn’t look like a sticker to both of us. The lady smiled when I ask her this (making me realize am so stupid for asking that question) it’d be remove when they change the lens.

Got my glasses after an hour, around 8 I went with him to the office. Kitoy was also in SM somewhere with a new gal, havent met her but hopefully she’s the one. Arrived at the office, not much people as its a weekend, Kitoy arrived around 10 pm, we finished the assessment chuva ek-ek.

And spent more than an hour talking, good to hear his side of things especially with the rumors on the floor making him appear to be on the bad side. But despite everything am glad to know that he still has  reasons to be happy.

So thats how I spent the first half of my rest day. Talk and talk with two new people I’ve grown to care about unexpectedly (didnt plan for this to happen, grrrrr).

For Bloggers Like You and Me

I was visiting my friend’s blog one day and on her post she was talking about a site or shall I say a program that let bloggers like us, earn through blogging about various topics. Like her I was astonished with the name of the program its called Smorty, why not Smarty? Oh well … so figured this is another get paid for blogging program available on the net.

As registration is free, I gave it a shot … after all there’s no harm in trying. The thought of being paid to do what I like doing is awesome, there are lots of income generating ventures online and if one perseveres, one would really earn. With smorty, registration is free and their staff would check your blog, if it meets their rules then you get approved. So I signed up, under my friend (they also have affiliate programs) and crossed my fingers.

After what seemed like eternity, it was only a couple of hours, I got an email from Smorty telling me that my blog’s approved. Yehey!!! I hope this program would work for me the same it worked for other people both bloggers and advertisers a like.Lots of advertisers actually prefer to advertise on blogs maybe coz of the personalized feel, blogs have.

There are lots of bloggers out there like me, pro and novices alike, other blog purely for money, others purely to express themselves. Me? Why not do both? I write to express my opinions about this and that, wouldnt it be lovely to earn from it as well.

So am sharing this new program I just signed up for; if your like me, more of a writer than of a talker (did I say that right?) then give Smorty a try and I hope it’ll work out for you too.

Art

Two forms of art have fascinated me since time immemorial, thats tattoes and paintings, nude paintings to be exact. For the tattoo, its the image of kokopelli (god of fertility) placed on my right ankle with my name below it or on my nape. This I think will never materialize because my mom has strictly told me no, being an only child and an obedient one (charot!) I’ll let that continue to be a fascination.

Nude paintings on the other hand is a different story, lately I’ve taken nude images of myself, printed them and examined them from the outside, see if they’d look good on charcoal, or on oil or on metallics. Strange?! maybe, I might come across as strange but theres nothing more fascinating and sensual for me than the female body, call it narcissistic but I appreciate the female body. And theres nothing I want more than have mine captured in charcoal, oil or metallics.

And this one caught my eye too, it appears to me as an image of a woman powerful enough to defy anything.

It appeared to me as strange that my mom would allow a nude painting but not a tattoo when they’re both art in the purest sense of the word. One of the many things I was asked when I mentioned this to a couple of people was, aren’t you ashamed?

There’s nothing to be ashamed of with once body, its definitely the most sensual way of expressing once unique identity and though my body’s not perfect but its just a casing to the soul, w/c would wither in time … and now that its still at its youth I wanna have it captured and locked against time.

Lets say a remembrance of youth and vitality.
